Where Grit & Grace Meet
My two favorite sounds in this sweet life are that of the waves relentlessly kissing the shore and the rhythm of hooves taking me to my happy place. All throughout my childhood, I was lucky enough to experience these sounds daily and from that stems my hunger to bring together two lifestyles.
The old west lifestyle exemplifies grit while the coastline culture presents grace. To me, grit is leaning into patience and strength to work together with your horse while grace is riding a long rolling wave with style and finesse. Hence where the name Coastal Cowgirl originates.
I started Coastal Cowgirl Co to unite woman through a diverse community that values each other. My goal is to encourage woman to utilize both grit and grace to chase any dream that has been placed in their heart as a desire. I suppose it is my outlook on life and my belief that every woman holds both virtues. And it is important that they balance one another. You can be a little rough around the edges, a “go getter,” and maybe even cuss a little bit like a sailor all while walking in your feminine and captivating spirit.
Whether you grew up barefoot, in boots, or in ballet shoes, we can all relate in one way or another. Let’s be real… we as woman are the glue that hold most good things together! But doing so is not always easy. We are called to be in community with one another so that we can lift each other up, feel pain together and also rejoice and take delight in one another. My hope is that Coastal Cowgirl can be a platform for allowing this to spring up and blossom into something beautiful that is unlike anything we have seen before.
So here’s to all kinds of ladies! The cowgirls, the surfers, the pilots, the MOMS, the business owners, the nurses, the merchant mariners, the flight attendants, the teachers, the climbers, the travelers, the designers, the home makers, the list goes on… Every woman is deserving of doing something great with their life and it looks different case by case. May we all embrace the beauty of living life vibrantly and fulfilled, together, no matter what it is that makes our world go round.
